Disney to buy Lucasfilm for $4B, Star Wars: Episode 7 lands in 2015
The force is strong with Mickey Mouse, apparently. In a landmark media deal, Disney has agreed to buy Lucasfilm, the owner of the Star Wars properties. "For the past 35 years, one of my greatest pleasures has been to see Star Wars passed from one generation to the next," George Lucas, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lucasfilm, said in a statement.
